Bob and his machines get busy building a road. Lofty collects water from a nearby river in a bucket for Dizzy's cement. While the others continue the job further down the road, Lofty stays behind to collect more water. He sees some otters trying to cross the road to get to the river, but they can't after one otter finds the cement is still wet. Lofty gives the otters a lift in his bucket, not realizing until too late that he is reversing into the cement himself. He worries about what Dizzy will say when she sees what happened, but Bob assures Lofty that she'll say "Well done" for looking after the otters so kindly. Lofty and the Otters is the third Bob the Builder: Project: Build It short.
